APN setting for MTN, Airtel, 9mobile, Glo and NTel subscribers

Although, this might not be new to some of us, but some people are actually finding it a bit difficult to configure their networks manually. APN (Access Point Name) is the basis for cellular data connectivity. Without this you will not be able to connect to the internet.

Shall we proceed to the business of the day? Below are APN configurations for major telecos network in Nigeria.

MTN USERS

• APN: web.gprs.mtnngeria.net
• Username: web
• Password: web
• Save the settings

For Auto configuration

• Send SETTINGS to 3888 as text message

9MOBILE USERS

• APN: 9mobile
• Username: blank
• Password: blank

For Auto Configuration

• Send SETTINGS to 229 as a text message

AIRTEL USERS

• APN: internet.ng.airtel.com
• Username: internet
• Password: internet

SMS Internet followed by Phone Make and Model to 232 e.g. SMS Internet Gionee M2 to 232

GLO USERS

• APN: gloflat
• Username: flat
• Password: flat

OR

• APN : glosecure
• Username: gprs
• password: gprs

• Send PHONE MODEL to 927 e.g TECNO F6 to 927.

NTEL USERS
Option 1: 

• APN: ntel
• Username: ntel
• Password: ntel

Option 2:

• APN: ntel
• Username: blank
• Password: blank

CHECK: USSD codes for night plan subscription on all network providers in Nigeria

NOTE: Leave other fields in the APN Settings and save your setting, then activate it as your Default or Active APN.
