Does DStv Really Have Any Content to Offer?

Recently, there has been a surge in complaints about Multichoice DStv content offering and it appears lots of subscribers are not pleased with it due to constant repeats.

So many subscribers have bombarded their social media handles with a complaint about their frequent repeats of programs and movies including those aired on Disney Junior. In a week, be rest assured that old contents will be recycled at least twice.

How can over 100+ channels be so boring to watch said a subscriber who couldn’t hold back his feeling of regrets due to constant repeat of programs.

There has never been such an accurate statement about dstv, the worst, repeats of 1990’s -2000 movie’s all the time

I cancelled my Dstv a year ago, and I’ve never complained since, I feel it’s overpriced. Basically you pay to watch the repeats and old contents.

@DStv @MultiChoiceGRP @SABCNews , it so disturbing honestly to pay for dstv subscription monthly to watch all mzansi’s reality shows repeating at sabc channels,
There are no new contents, we are watching same movies, repeats and same documentaries repeatedly, like really?

Football is the only thing that’s relevant on DSTV. News updates are all served on Twitter .All other things are repeats.

I’m actually bored, nothing interesting on dstv, just repeats and repeats

Seriously: Are you still subscribed to the rubbish #DSTV, and paying their crazy monthly subscriptions for repeats, and old content?

Get a VPN, side-load a Fire Stick or Android TV box, and stream the latest Movies, Series & Sport, until your hearts content (for free)! https://t.co/HR3l8fDuQl

I don’t stress myself too much with boring repeated content, as a matter of fact, I had to downgrade my package to the least package, Yanga because it feels like I was wasting money subscribing to old content (my opinion though).

In other news, the house of reps has approved the pay-per-view, pay-as-you-go, and price reduction for DSTV and other cable satellite operators in the country.

The House stated that the visible absence of competitors in the industry was tacit approval of monopoly of the industry by the present operators.

Thus, the lawmakers suggested that the timely application of government regulatory intervention measures already articulated would revolutionize the industry and meet the people’s yearnings for Pay-as-you-go, Pay-Per-View, and price reduction.

The House noted that the commission that had the power to license and regulate the activities of service providers must also have the power to moderate in the protection of consumers.

MultiChoice DStv CEO had earlier stated that adopting the PAYU model in Nigeria will be impossible because it will be expensive for its subscribers.

For instance, paying for only SuperSport where Laliga and EPL games are being held cannot work… Why? According to him, the model has failed because subscribers ended paying more for the same number of channels available to them… and it is the reason why MultiChoice bundles television packages in a few bouquets.

In other words, PAYU on MultiChoice DStv is a dream that will never see the limelight. Let us know in the comment what you think about DStv content and your favorite channels.
